ZTE Skate-Android 2.3 Gingerbread 4.3 inch, 5MP Camera
ZTE on September 23, 2011 has announced that they have completed the first phase of the global launch of the latest flagship smartphone, ZTE Skate, in Hong Kong. The launch in Hong Kong is launching the first Skate in the Asia-Pacific region. ZTE is also touted as the first Chinese company that supplies smartphone to Japan. At the MWC event in Bacelona yesterday, ZTE also participated giving a formal announcement about the new Android smartphone products. The fourth largest mobile company in the world named this phone ZTE Skate. ZTE skate will present the market with support for Android version 2.3 Gingerbread.Skate with a competitive price Smartphone has a sleek design with a thickness of 11.35 mm, has a capacitive TFT screen measuring 4.3 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 3G, 5MP camera with LED flash, zte skate processor: 800 MHz and weighs just 148 grams. Design style smartphone that uses the Android 2.3 Gingerbread is inspired from skateboard shape.
Skate was first launched on 12 September in Brazil in partnership with Brazilian operator, Vivo. Then Skate launched in Spain on 16 September as part of the Madrid Fashion Week, in collaboration with a global operator Telefonica. Global launch of Skate will continue to be held this year in European countries including Britain and France, in Asian countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and in the United States.
'We are excited about the ZTE Skate smartphone global launch," said He Shiyou, Executive Vice President and Head of the Division of ZTE Terminals.' We are committed to developing products and the smartphone will launch a total of 30 models of smartphones before the end of 2011,' he added.
ZTE's strategic move into the smartphone market in 2011 has played a major role in the company so the company reached number 5 position among the world's handset manufacturers.
ZTE Skate is expected to make a success as ZTE Blade, which has become the flagship product of this company during the last 12 months. More than three million handsets ZTE Blade has sold in over 50 countries around the world. ZTE Blade recently became the best selling Android Smartphone in China, with an average of more than 17,000 units sold per day.
