Whats the most powerful graphics card on the market right now?

Question: just wondering but whats the most powerful graphics card on the market right now and how much does it cost?

1. The ATI 5970 is the best video card. BUT ATI is about to release the 6xxx series cards soon. The 5970 may drop in price when they are released. You can also ask for 6xxx series cards also...
IT cost could be around $655

2. The most powerful graphic card is the Nvidia GTX 580. Price is around $600 US
