Factory reset on toshiba laptop windows 7? Someone has problems with toshiba satellite a305-s6905 that keeps getting BSOD and occasionally pops open new, unrelated, internet tabs. Sometimes when it boot, appears the black screen with "windows cannot start" and error code 0x000000a0. A recovery disc doesn't seem to work. The laptop initially came with Vista, but was upgraded to Windows 7 by a relative (who does not live anywhere near me any longer, so obtaining the installation disc from them is a failed mission).
Ask Quotes:
If I attempt to do a factory reset, will it reset to Vista, or because I have a Windows 7 recovery disc, it will reset it to Windows 7? If anyone can also come up with a solution to my issue, I would be greatly appreciative.
The solutions:
Hopefully when they installed the upgrade for windows 7 from vista they left you with the toshiba recovery partition here is the information for toshiba laptops. It will reset to Vista however and overwrite and files you have.
Try these steps to Factory reset toshiba laptop windows 7 , hope they will help you:
1. Copy all your files and documents to an external storage device.
2. Shut down the computer.
3. Turn the PC back on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Option Screen appears.
4. Click "Repair Your Computer" if you are not already on it and then press ENTER
5. choose your country and click OK
6. On the "System Recovery Options Screen" click "Restore Application" which is the last option.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions
8. When prompted, click on "Full Factory Recovery"
9. "Next"
10. Click "Yes"
11. you will notice for a while it seems like nothing is happening, give it some time.
12. After some minutes, recovery will complete and you click "Finish"

* mSpot Movies – A movie rental service that streams direct to your phone. While the app is free, you pay per rental and have 30 Days to watch it and 24 hours to watch it from the first time you press play. I tested it out with a copy of Braveheart and the video and audio quality were excellent for streaming to mobile. They have an excellent selection of movies that go from black and white classics to recent DVD releases.
* SPB TV ($10) and SPB TV Lite (Free) – A streaming video app that allows you to watch news, movies and video from around the world. Includes streams from local and national US tv news channels, music channels and older films. Lite version limits you to 6 channels, but the paid version has over 100 to choose from. Of all the video apps I’ve reviewed, the paid version of SPB TV is the best for watching the most diverse and up to date programming.
* Stream Media Player – The ability to play streaming videos from a preset list or connect to a server of your choice. The video artefacts, audio occasionally stutters and pressing pause doesn’t actually pause the stream. Not really worth downloading.
* UStream Viewer – Although the app says it is in beta when it starts (at this time) , you can watch your favorite UStream feeds directly and clearly on your phone, so you can watch all the puppy cams you want. This app does not send video, but there is UStream Broadcaster for that.
* TV.com – Streaming access to clips to CBS and Showtime shows are how the app is promoted, but the real lure is the classic TV shows you can watch. MacGuyver, Beverly Hills 90210 (classic), Twin Peaks, Family Ties, and others to select from make this a worthy app to install.
* W.Tv – Although I cannot read Chinese, this is a great app for viewing video. you have the option of streaming or downloading any videos on the app. The DVD option in the menu gives you the option to download movies directly to your phone, like purchasing DVDs from a blanket on the streets of New York City.
* YouTube – It comes preinstalled on the phone with the other Google apps, but it is worth noting that you have access to a world of user contributed videos at your fingertips.
* ZooTopTen – An app that lets you stream the latest, most popular videos on ZooVision.com directly to your phone. Going to ZooVision.com forced the web browser to download the videos before watching, so this was a more convenient way to handle them. Zooropa also offers individual video apps for anime, like Lady Death, Speed Racer, Twilight: UNBOUND (for Stephanie Meyer fans) and others. While ZooTopTen is free, the individual anime are not.

best way is to make a password that is not in the dictionary and contains numbers in it this way it makes it like 10000X harder for it to be hacked try to use passwords like d1ct1onary that was just an example but try an think of 1 it will be a lot more securer
first thing is make sure your firewall is on start setting control panel, fire wall check it has a dot in it…… and put a check in the second box under that…
next is never use these as as pw "se*, love, a famiies name a pets name a boyfriends name etc" hacker are a lot better off now adays. try and keep your password with number like kathy77 but not short…..
Use a better password which contains Lower-case letters, Upper-case letters, numbers and symbols
1. full scan your computer with updated anti-virus and anti-spyware
2. delete all junk e-mail
Both have to be done to ensure all spyware being deleted.
Then, you change your username and password.
a. username should not be common to your daily name. e.g. Tom Jones may have username JonesTom or TJonesom
b. password should be a mixing with characters and numbers. nothing with your name or birthdays or any information in workpass. e.g. 14jfkqey08oemfg

Theretically this is impossible unless
you are revealing your password to somebody else
you are writing down your password and another person sees it
make sure your anti-virus software is up to date and scan your system. Then download Malwarebytes and do a FULL scan.
In some cases keyloggers can't be detected if they are good/expensive (Spectorsoft). The only 100% effective method for getting rid of a keylogger is to format your hard drive and re0-install the OS.
Sounds like your computer is infected. Scan it for malware and all other infections. Go to http://malwarebytes.org and download the program there and run a scan.
couple of things needs to be change along with the password.
+ security question and answer which is associated with your yahoo and facebook password.
+ if you have entered any secondary email when signing up for yahoo and facebook accounts. change the password, security question and its answer of your secondary email as well.
it is possible if someone had access to your secondary email which is linked to your yahoo and facebook accounts. HE / SHE CAN GET ACCESS very easily.

ok i am not a hacker but this is how someone hacked into my email. i checked my email at school and forgot to sign out. so this guy logged onto my email and i keep all my passwords on my email so he changed all my passwords on everything and he put them all onto one thing so i figured them out and changed them to something else and then i figured i had to sign out of everything so that is a very good lesson!!
No one is hacking anyone. Its the users own fault for not paying attention.
What happens is you get an email saying you have a new message or friend request, but this email is fake and NOT from myspace. You click on the link in the email to take you to myspace, but it ISN'T myspace. Its an exact replica of myspace that some idiots made to steal your login info. Look at the address bar, it doesn't say myspace.com. You type your username & password, click log in, but all that does is send your username & password to someone who is scamming you. When you click login, it doesn't log you in, it just takes you to the REAL myspace homepage while sending your login info to some idiot. You just think there was an error in logging in so you log in again. Now someone has your login information.
Its called a "phishing scam" and these scammers do it with bank websites also.
To make sure it doesn't happen to you, don't click on the myspace link in ANY email. Type it out directly in your address bar.
There is no hacking equipment involved.
They either brute force the site to get the login, or otherwise, the user is tricked into giving the password.
Some bruteforce (which means guess until they get it.)
Some SE the victim (which means that they talk the user out of important information).
Some phish (which means that they send fake e-mails and get the user to reveal information).
Some do more elaborate techniques.
Some send you a link that is obscured which when you click on it takes you to a page and the get/post request contains your cookie. They then logon using your cookies.

You should get something that looks like a wholt lot of garbage. That is a cookie. They can then spoof that cookie and logon using that information.

Click on the "forgot your login info" link at the sign in screen. Here it will ask a few more questions. Then it will send some info to the e-mail address you provided when you signed up. Then enter this info and you can change your password.

Can Someone Hack Into My PC If I Connect to Someones Wireless Network?
A couple of people in my apartment building have wireless networks and I want to be able to connect to them in order to cut down on my bandwith usage for the month with my isp. If they wanted to and have the knowledge yes. But they can if you stay on your network too, all it takes is someone the motivation, the time, and the skill.
on any network you can get hacked. doesnt matter whos your on you can get hacked.
You can set security options for your wireless network, or you can edit your firewall, and set it to block certain connections. Check your firewall, and make sure you have protection against incoming signals. So yes, they can but you can prevent it.
using their network is only the same as using any other public network in this regard. You can never be TOTALLY secure on a network but you'll probably as safe as in starbucks!

Well, my old laptop (hp ze5400) (btw it had windowsXP) had a password on, but since then, the back light went, and the charger smoked and hissed. Now my laptop has vista on and my laptop wont let me access the hard drive.

The reset button on the back of the router will delete that password and any other configuration that has be changed. If you do that, anyone can use the service.

Yo can't bypass the password. You can reset the password only if you are the admin of the wireless router. There is a way to reset the settings back to the default manufacture setting– it uses a default password, but problem is: even if you find out the default password and get connected, your parents won't be connected because they don't know that default password, unless you tell they. Sad.

Change your password and make it uppercase, lowercase letters as well as numbers and symbols if you can.

Always make it something difficult, and never add any thing obvious, name, birthdates, things like that. It makes it really easy for them to figure out.
Also make sure your email password is fairly safe as well, in case they can get into that and have the password sent to that address.
With password security questions make sure that the answers aren't easy ones that someone who knows any thing about you can figure out. For example, if you have a pet cat named Ralph and your question is What is the name of my pet? It could be fairly obvious to any one who knows you well enough to know that you have a cat named Ralph so that would be the answer.
Also, make sure your computer is keylogger free. A keylogger records all of the keys you press and therefore can be used to get your passwords. Malwarebytes is a good free tool that detects many keyloggers as well as the trojans and worms that often download them to your computer.

2.Decompress the Windows password unlocker and note that there is an .ISO image file. Burn the image file onto an blank CD with the burner freely supported by Password Unlocker.
3.Insert the newly created CD into the locked computer and re-boot it from the CD drive.
4.After launched the CD, a window pop up with all your account names(if you have several accounts) select one of the accounts that you have forgotten its password to reset it. Just one press, you have removed the password.

I have read of some cases where it is impossible. You might be able to though. Yes, but i wouldn't. Most of them would provably be viruses.

(-) There is currently no way to downgrade an iphone with bootloader 06.04 or any bootloader greater than 05.08. Maybe in the future.

(-) If you have an iPhone 3G and you have this feeling that upgrading to iOS 4 has slowed down your device and that you want to go back to iPhone 3.1.3 / 3.1.2. Or if you are one of those iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) or iPod touch 3G / 2G (MC model) user who has upgraded to iOS 4 only to find out that you cant jailbreak it can follow the instructions posted below to downgrade iOS 4.0 to iOS (formerly iPhone 3.1.3 or 3.1.2).
Step 1: Download the old iPhone OS 3.1.3, iPhone OS 3.1.2 ipsw firmware files. (Download links: 3.1.3 / 3.1.2)
Step 2: Put your device into DFU mode (not recovery mode).
* Connect your iPhone to your computer.
* Turn iPhone off.
* Start iTunes.
* Hold Power and Home buttons together for 10 seconds or so.
* Release Power button but keep holding the Home button until your computer recognizes a new USB device.
* iTunes will now recognize your iPhone. Note: Your iPhone screen at this time should be blank (black in color), if not, then you are most likely in Recovery Mode, not DFU mode.
(Step 3 is for iPhone 3GS users only. If you are on iPhone 3G or iPod touch 2G (non-MC model), skip Step 3 and continue from Step 4)
Step 3: This step is applicable to iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G and iPod touch 2G (MC model) which have their SHSH blobs (ECID SHSH) saved on Cydia for the firmware you downgrading on. If you don't have your SHSH files saved, you cannot downgrade the mentioned devices. So what we will do is to trick iTunes into thinking that it is watching Apple servers, while in real, we are going to change the address to Saurik's server.
* Navigate to C:WindowsSystem32driversetc and locate "hosts" file. Hosts file in Windows Mac users can get to "/etc/" directory by going through "Go –> Go to Folder" from Finder. Hosts file in OS X * Open this "hosts" file in Notepad (for Windows) or TextEdit (for Mac OS X) and add this 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com line as shown in the screenshot below: 21 Now simply save this file and you are good to go! NOTE for Windows 7 and Vista: Start "Notepad" with Administrator privileges by right clicking on "Notepad" app, and click on "Run as Administrator" option.
Step 4: You will now have to restore your iPhone or iPod touch to the firmware you downloaded in Step 1. Click on your phone icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left "alt" (option) button on Mac (Left "Shift" button on Windows) on the keyboard and then click on "Restore" (Not "Update" or "Check for Update") button in the iTunes and then release this button. iTunes This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your downloaded firmware file. Select that ipsw file and click on "Open".
Step 5: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don't do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs firmware on your iPhone or iPod touch. Your iPhone screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. Now at some point, iTunes will throw 1011, 1013 or 1015 error at you. This is normal, just ignore this error as the firmware has already been successfully installed on the device.
Step 6: Now you will need to exit your device from Recovery Mode. To do this, download a program called RecBoot (Windows / Mac). Run it and the click on "Exit Recovery Mode" button. Your device will now restart normally. RecBoot This is it, you should now be able to jailbreak your device on this older OS. For iPhone 3.1.2 firmware, you can use blackra1n, PwnageTool, redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, ultrasn0w and blacksn0w to jailbreak and unlock your iPhone and iPod touch. For iPhone 3.1.3 firmware for iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS and iPod touch 1G/2G, you can use redsn0w 0.9.3, redsn0w 0.9.4, sn0wbreeze, PwnageTool 3.1.5. Unlocking can be done using ultrasn0w or blacksn0w. iPhone 3.1.3 (on devices with new bootrom and baseband) can use Spirit to jailbreak iPhone 3GS/3G and iPod touch 3G/2G.

(-) You should never upgrade to 3.1.3 then do a downgrade. It is a different boot rom and their is not hack to reverse it to 3.1.2. I would go on line and do a search for the 3.1.2 software file. I would click restore and press it think it option on the mac. I don't know pc and restore it to 3.1.2. (-) You'd have to ask your service provider. Yes you can. What you'd need to do is buy another phone (ebay or craigslist), change to that phone and sell your Iphone 3G (which will recoup what you pay for another phone)

(-) Apple will not let you. The only way is with the aid of Jailbreaking. The Jailbreak software will create a file that you can put on your phone. My best advice is to Jailbreak the current software and leave it on there. If you do this, your iPhone will do anything and everything!

(-) the best way to find out is to ask your service provider but as it is a multimedia device built around a phone i wouldn't think it would matter as long as you keep the phone settings active.

Problem: Acer ASPIRE 5532, touchpad stoped working.
Question : Acer ASPIRE 5532, touchpad stoped working. I probably hit the Fn key or?
Answers and Solutions:
1. The 5532 has a button to the left of the power button that turns the touchpad on and off.
2. The mouse pad and other functions are controlled by the Fn key and usually one of the F_ keys. Check the book for your model or visit the web site. You're halfway there to solving the problem....nice job!
